As liberals play the blame game — trying to pin the narrowly-averted government slowdown on tea party movement pressure — Project 21 fellow Deneen Borelli notes the liberals failed to pass a budget at the appointed time when they controlled Congress last year. Furthermore, the American people expect more common sense from lawmakers right now when it comes to reforming out-of-control spending — nothing that the agreed-upon amount cut was far from radical and that Congress “can do better.” This discussion with Fox News Channel host Greg Jarrett was part of the 4/10/11 edition of “America’s News Headquarters.” The Project 21 black leadership network is a program of The National Center for Public Policy Research. www.nationalcenter.org http
Question: Has Obama successfully weathered GOP attacks and total lack of cooperation? Is 2011 looking better for Obama?
Polls show he’s the most admired man in America…and that he has all but 19% of his parties support to run in 2012. Sarah Palin has 49% of Republican support for 2012, with Huckabee in the lead with about 65%.
Is President Obama on the upswing as Americans start to hold the GOP responsible for it’s lack of responsible governance in the Senate and in Congress?
Obama on a roll in new poll
“President Obama is on a roll in a new Opinion Research Corp./CNN poll that measures approval – and disapproval – of bills approved by this year’s high-flying “Lame Duck” Congress.
The poll listed a bevy of issues – tax cuts, unemployment benefits, gays in the military and nuclear arms – and then asked: “Please tell whether you approve of the way each of the following have handled those issues under consideration during this session.”
Fifty-six percent of those surveyed gave thumbs-up to Obama’s performance, with just 41 percent voicing disapproval.
Congress received far less favorable marks: Just 42 percent approved the performance by Republicans in Congress, with 53 percent disapproving. Democrats in Congress received approval by 44 percent of those surveyed, with 52 percent disapproving.”

That’s right, Vicky. There’s no ebb and flo to American politics. That’s why Republicans have never lost an election in the entire history of American politics. Who’s stupid?

Google “capitulation”.
Question: Does the public understand science better than scientists?
Roy Spencer seems to think so, addressing the low numbers given by the Rasmussen poll:
“How can non-experts question the opinion of scientific experts? I believe it is because the public seems to have a better appreciation than the scientists do of a fundamental truth: There are some problems that science does not yet understand.”

…so scientists do not understand the climate enough to say what the cause of the warming is, and for that reason your average mechanic or police officer is right to be skeptical.*
*Unless the scientist is predicting that the warming is natural, such as caused by the PDO, the sun, thermohaline circulation, UHI, or all of the above. Then you’re just a brainwashed liberal fool for not believing it…

How can so many “scientists” shout down, dismiss, and threaten scientists who disagree with them and still call themselves scientists?

Oh..
Edit:
And a Botanist would have a lot to say about which plants can or can’t grow in a place with what temperatures, etc.
You true believers apparently don’t understand the complexity of the issue. If you actually read the book, you would learn that most of these scientists believed the whole story.. for a time. But each found that in the area of their specialty the evidence for global warming was seriously lacking. (The ice core expert, for example, says the “data” coming from ice cores is seriously flawed, etc.)
To put the whole picture together you need botanists, geologists, astronomers, chemists, marine biologists, historians, anthropologists, physicists – etc. Strangely enough, the more complete the picture, the weaker agw theory is.
