As the UPA government completes one year in power in its second stint, NDTV-GfK MODE conducted a nationwide opinion poll to look at the seat forecasts for the current government.

I’m not going to give you all the answers, but I want to help you understand the concept.
The biggest hint I can give you is that if the sentence contains the word “by” before a pronoun or name, it is going to be passive. Ex: “The ball was thrown by him.” or “The painting was hung on the wall by Susan.” Now, here’s how I would take those two sentences and turn them from passive to active. Instead of saying, “The ball was thrown BY HIM,” I could take the “him” part and make it the subject, making the sentence, “He threw the ball.” I could do the same with “the painting was hung on the wall by Susan” by changing it to “Susan hung the painting on the wall.
So go through your list again and identify the sentences that contain “by ___.” It’s pretty safe to assume all of those are passive.

Incedently, I’ve done my own “polling”. Out of over 200 marines and navy soldiers/sailors, I met ONE person who did not think we should be in Iraq.

Did you know that a poll only needs to ask 1000 people a question for it to b considered a ‘legitimate’ poll?
That is why they are not reliable. As long as there are opposing views, you can get the results you desire.
