This story is about the growing anti-America sentiment in Pakistan and what role it can play in shaping Pakistan’s future political dimensions. Richard Wike, the Associate Director at the Pew Global Attitudes Project says that growing discontent against Zardari government and bad economy is driving the public opinion which is fueled by the US Drone strikes and difficulties of Pakistan US relations over the last 10 months. According to the public opinion poll conducted in Pakistan by Pew Research Center in May, 2011, the key features of US policy remain unpopular in Pakistan and Pakistanis are concerned about issues related to sovereignty of the country.Richard Wike says that the overall negative public opinion may or may not drive future politics of Pakistan (Int). The former senior adviser to Richard Holbrook, Vali Nasar says that “the rise of Imran Khan” “is a warning sign to the United States”, “because our policy with Pakistan is pushing essentially towards a major popular opposition in that country”. Analysts both in Washington and Pakistan are taking note of this rising factor in Pakistani politics. The Obama Administration should not investigate how the Bush Administration interrogated the filthy scum bag low life Jihadist sub-humans. And according to the latest poll, that is also what the majority of Americans think, but maybe not exactly in those words. Heres the breakdown: 58% are opposed. Democrats are evenly divided over whether further investigation is necessary, while 77% of Republicans and 62% of voters not affiliated with either major party are against more investigating. So even one half of Democrats say that enough is enough, lets get on with the business of the country. So it is good that Obama has taken heed of these polls and has decided that further investigation is not needed. We can only hope that the congress will come to the same conclusion. But I have my doubts. Jbranstetter04 58% Say Release of CIA Memos Endangers National Security Fifty-eight percent (58%) believe the Obama administrations recent release of CIA memos about the harsh interrogation methods used on terrorism suspects endangers the national security of the United States. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 28% believe the release of the memos helps Americas image abroad. Thirty-seven percent (37%) of voters now believe the US legal system worries too much about protecting individual rights when national security is at stake. But 21% say the legal system is too concerned about protecting national security. Thirty-three percent (33%) say the balance

House Republicans believe America needs an “all-of-the-above” solution to our energy crisis — including greater conservation, increased use of alternative and renewable energy, and environmentally sound production of American oil and natural gas. This is just the latest in a series of national surveys showing increased public support for meaningful solutions that will increase supply to lower prices and promote energy independence: 76% Fox News Poll: “Just over three-quarters (76 percent) support immediately increasing oil drilling in the United States. More than seven in 10 Democrats (71 percent) also hold this view.” (6/21/08) 73% CNN/Opinion Research Poll: “73% of the more than 1000 Americans surveyed from June 26 to 29 said they favored offshore drilling for oil and natural gas in US waters.” (7/3/08) 68% Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg Poll: When
