Question: Survey: If you were answering a poll “black or white” what the first thing comes to your mind?
Is the asker being “racist” or just being curious what color you like? The asker doesn’t give any reason for his question.
In my opinion, the asker is just being curious what color I like.
For some reason, when these two colors (black or white) are use, people read more into it but they don’t read more into other colors. This just my 2 cents.

Personally, when I hear “Black or White”, the first thing I think of is the PC computer game that came out a few years ago that has that name.

Question: Why does everyone think it’s wrong for a white chick to listen to rap?
Okay – I dunno if this is really considered a “poll” but I’m getting kind of pissed at people calling me a “wannabe” because I listen to rap. There was this inside joke I had with my dad and a friend of mine and I used to fool around with people and tell them I was a wannabe black chick. I’m not. It was a joke. However, I’m really fascinated by the “gangster” style even though I wouldn’t really consider myself “gangster.”
But anyways, my point – I like rap and people are trying to insult me by saying “Why do you like rap? Does it make you feel like you belong? Do you wish you were black and from the ghetto?” And there were this boys that were joking around once, saying “Hey! Do I look like a wannabe Puerto Rican? Do I look like a wannabe white? Do I look like a wannabe black? Gangsta from the hood, yo yo yo!”
I mean, I wasn’t insulted. I was actually laughing.
And yeah, another thing is that a lot of black people are getting pissed at me. They think I’m trying to sabotage them or something really weird like that. There’s this African American woman who used to take me to my school in this van and she was always looking at me strange and she’d be like “JENNIFER, TURN YOUR IPOD DOWN.” Of course she was insulted by the fact I was listening to Kanye West, Jay Z, and Lupe Fiasco. Once she even asked me, “Hey Jennifer, have you ever been to a JAY-Z CONCERT???” And she was REALLY pissed off that I had a crush on this guy who was black. Whenever I said his name, she would glance at me through the rear view mirror.
So like, my question – Why do black women hate me so much all because I like rap and gansger dudes? Seriously. It’s just my taste. I’m not trying to piss them off or “steal” their style. It’s just me. Or maybe it’s not. I dunno. Opinions?
